Tonopah Mobile Food Bank
We have started a new program. As a partnership with The Food Bank of Northern Nevada and Ken Ross Mine, we are now delivering food to the Tonopah area once a month. This food will be distributed on the First Thursday of every month. So far it has been a great success.
Mr. Larry Jackson, and Johnny Jaramillo are part of our great delivery team who travel to Tonopah once a month.

Summer Food Service Program - June 2011
We are administering the Summer Food Program again this year. This program is designed to provide children from ages 2-18 with a healthy lunch Monday thru Friday. This program runs from June 6th thru August 26th. Diana Munger was the Kitchen Manager, Thank you Diana for taking care of the kids this year. And for the second year in a row we were fortunate to have two high school students work with us. Thank you Briana and Danielle for doing such a great job.
The beginning of our fiscal year - July 2011
Its a new year :-)
Unfortunately we lost one of our funding sources. It had been rumored to happen for a long time, but as of July the state of Nevada no longer has a family-to-family program. This was quite a blow to us, but we are just trying to pick up and move on. And trust that something else will come along.

Safe Grad - June 2011
We sponsored the annual Safe Grad Party at the School. This event is set up to give our high school students sober options for their graduation night. The entire high school was invited to help our seniors celebrate. The senior class conducted fund raisers for a long time. The funds that were raised provided the seniors with graduation gifts, personalized t-shirts, a dj for the evenings festivities, and refreshments. The kids had a great time.
Grand Opening / Prevent Child Abuse Fair April 2011
In April we had our official Grand Opening / Prevent Child Abuse Fair.
We had an open house where visitors got to walk through and see our new facility. Everyone was very impressed with the renovations that we had made so far.
We had a Prevent Child Abuse Fair directly following the Grand Opening. We had a bounce house available for the little ones. For food and refreshments, Mr. Jackson grilled up some hot dogs, and we had popcorn, and snow cones. Everyone had a great time.

Our new sign - February 2011
WE HAVE MOVED!!! - February 2011
Hi everyone! Wow it has been a long time since we updated our site. We will try to stay on top of this from now on :)
So the biggest news is that WE MOVED. We are now located at 924 5th Street. For those of you familiar with Hawthorne, that is the old Western Auto Building.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us move. It was quite an undertaking. If you recall, we used to be located in two separate buildings. We are now all under one roof, and we couldn't be happier.
