Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Hunger Action Month

September is Hunger Action Month and we invite you to join us in this nationwide effort to bring awareness to the fact that 48 million people in America, including 15 million children, don't know where their next meal will come from.
Thursday, September 8th is Hunger Action Day all across the nation. We invite you to wear orange and raise awareness for our hungry neighbors and what they face.
We ask this September that you consider how it must feel to live with an empty stomach. What could you not accomplish in your day to day with out the food you need? The feeling of running on empty is a reality for one in seven of our northern Nevada neighbors.
At CAHS we strive to make sure that the people in our community NEVER GO HUNGRY! We work with/provide over 5 different food programs. Sometimes we struggle to keep our food pantry filled with the essential items our families need. So we are asking for your help.
For the month of September
we would appreciate any donations of unopened peanut butter
and/or macaroni & cheese.
You can drop off donations to the CAHS office
located @924 5th St
or you can contact us @945-2471
Thank You!
